We got around this morning & went to ST James Methodist Church in Goose Creek, SC. Very inspiring service, they had a time of silence much like our "quiet time" the people were so friendly. From there we went to the Magnolia Plantation & Garden. It was beautiful, we went to see the cabins the slaves lived in, it was called slaves to freedom, the guide was very good & gave us over 500 years of history in about 15 minutes, it was sad to see the living conditions. Then we went to Patroit Point where the USS Yorktown aircraft carrier is, we crossed over the beautiful bay on an impressive bridge!! We didn't think we had time to explore the carrier, destroyer, submarine & the museum on the carrier. I felt bad as Don really enjoys that. We left there & got on Hwy 17 for Savannah, GA, about 40 miles out we ran into a bad heavy rain storm. We only put on our rain coats & got soaked & can you believe cold. When we finally joined up with Hwy 95, we called it a day & got a motel & dried out & warmed up. Here are a few pics
