Thursday, September 3rd

It was a short night last night for some of us. We got to bed at 12:30 and up at six. We ate breakfast with Lee and Esther and packed up & ready to go by eight so they could get to work.  We had a most wonderful time with them, God is good. We rode to Lawton and caught Highway 115 N. to Weatherford and we got there at 11:30.  Coming up Highway 115 we came through FT Sill, this is where they took all of the Indians. Geronimo
is buried there. We rode through the Apache, Kiowa and Comanche Indian reservation. We saw some large wind farms, ranching & farming. The wind blew HARD out of the south all day.  Karen Lett Lynde, is my first cousin on my mothers side. We enjoyed visiting with her, Bob & their son Russ. Karen took us to a diner on Old Route 66. We left there about 3:30 & came as far as Shamrock, TX. We were both tired, late night, wind & hot temp. Is hard on us.
