Friday, August 12, we left Amarillo, Texas and had breakfast with Heidi and JD in Tu cumcari. It was really good to see them. We came on to Albuquerque and had a fun time looking at old town Albuquerque. Don loves to shop 😜 not, but he was a good sport. We went to a Rattlesnake Museum and that was interesting. I had no idea there were so many rattlesnakes, thank goodness on the ranch we just had the smaller kind.
For some reason I am having trouble getting the pictures to post.
We left my cousin Glenda and Jim yesterday morning, they live in Missouri. We visited our nephew Danny in Tulsa and had a really good time & lunch with him. We visited a girlfriend of mine Rachel White Richenberg and Paul in Oklahoma City for a little while and then we went on to Ratcliff to see our brother Lee and Esther.
We had a really good time with them and less there before noon and drove to Palo Dura Canyon in Texas. We got there in time for a barbecue and a play called Texas. It was really good and we highly recommend it for you to see.
I will try to post a few more pictures. These pictures are certainly not in order but they are on here.
Here are a few pictures of yesterday and today. Van and Mary Lett, Weirich family, Jerry Jennings & Aunt Gladys. This One is of my Uncle PD, he will be 100 on February 2.
We got home yesterday about 330. We went 5,265 Miles on that trip, seeing all the brothers that live in Colorado, Oklahoma and Arizona. We got to see a lot of other family, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
I feel like the song says "i've been everywhere man I've been everywhere." Now we are back Home and thinking about what all needs to be done to kind of get caught up. Blessings to you, and God is good, all the time God IS good.
We left Utah this morning and drove to Elko, Nevada tonight. We ate dinner at the Basque restaurant here in Elko. We had a very good dinner. We are ready to be home tomorrow. This has been a wonderful trip, we have seen so many family and friends. God is good.
I have decided that this will publish if I don't put pictures on it, I don't understand that but anyway yesterday's published and the other days haven't.
This morning we got up and learned that our friend had the flu and could not take us out sightseeing on her raise her. She recommended another company that would take good care of us but we decided to wait for her and go another time. I did a little shopping and then we drove up to the Colorado River on a back road and then went almost to Price where we turned off and went at 9 mile Canyon where Don's Family had a ranch several years ago, over 50. It was a very enjoyable afternoon and we actually saw Cliff dwellers writing on the canyon walls.
That took us all afternoon and we are spending the night in Duchenne, Utah.
We got up early and left Flagstaff in time to get to waylen's church and not be late. The time change sort of messed us up as Arizona doesn't change but the reservation does. We got there before church started and enjoyed seeing where Waylen, Anthony and Cheri attend. After church we had lunch with Van and they invited us out to their home which was about 10 miles out of Page to a little town called Big Water. We visited for a while and Anthony told us what kind of procedure well and he's going to have on his heart on August 29 in Phoenix.
When we left there we went to Moab and got in there about 9 o'clock and went and had a chef salad. We stayed at the same hotel we stayed at last summer when we had by problems.
We left Wichita yesterday morning, we had breakfast with cousins Van and Mary Lett in Salina. We stayed all night in Columbia, Missouri with our nephew Jason and Megan Weirich, JW & Jace Who celebrated his fourth birthday today.
We came to Lebanon and visited a friend, Jerry Jennings and then went to Richland to see my aunt Gladys who turned 100 years old in May.
We met her daughter Glenda & and husband Jim and had a really good dinner and visit with them tonight.
