Tuesday, October 13th

This has been another wonderful day. We left Pueblo after saying goodbye to Harry Vaughn, Carol and Melynda. I really don't like goodbyes!!  We went by the Honda place as Don had got an intercom for his helmet when we were there in August. The guy that could take care of it wasn't there, of course so he will have to go to Plan B and see if either he can get his money back or they will give him a new one. It quit working when we were coming back through Colorado on our way home.
We came on through Canyon city, Salida, Gunnison, Montrose, Grand Junction & onto Utah.  We made it to Price, Utah about 8 o'clock.  We have seen a lot of pretty country, some pretty fall colors and we crossed over the continental divide on the top of Monarch Pass.

Monday, October 12th

This has been a good day, it was bitter sweet though to leave Gilbert this morning, a little bitty tear let me down.
Melynda came to Pueblo with us to see cousins, Harry Vaughn and Carol. We had a really good lunch and then Harry Vaughn took his grandsons to football practice. Don took Melynda's car to get a few things fixed on it. When everyone got back we went to an Italian pastry place and got some Italian cookies, oh my goodness they are good.  We took a drive around Pueblo and came home, & it was suppertime. Their daughter Amy, Luke and family came and had dinner with us. It has been a wonderful day.

Sunday, October 11th

This has been a really great day, we went to church at the Chivington Friends Church. This church has special memories for both Don & Me.  We both found Jesus as Lord and Savior of our life at this church. Don's parents, Kenneth and Margaret Brown started this church many long years ago. Faithful people like the Williams family and others have kept the church going. After the tornado three years ago they have built a beautiful building.  After church we went to Lamar and met brother Ronnie and Lyn for lunch, Melynda and brothers Gilbert and Lynn
were with us. We got to tell Kandae's family goodbye as they were all eating there too. Tonight we went to a really good concert at the Praise Community Church in Eads, this happens to be the church where our nephew Jimmy Brown and family attend. Jimmy played the piano with them for the last part of the comcert, MY, he can sure play the piano. They provided a wonderful dinner after the concert, we got to see some people that we knew, this is indeed been a wonderful day.  We went by Gilbert & Terry's  white milo field, it is really good, Don thinks it will bring 80-100 bushel per acre.

Saturday, October 10th

This is the day that we have look forward to for a long time.  My friend Rachel white Richenberg, from Oklahoma City came to visit a while today.  It is always good to visit with friends from long ago, brings back such memories. I heard the coyotes tonight that brought back a lot of memories too. We went to Whitney Reeder & Jared Rider's wedding this afternoon. It was a beautiful beautiful wedding & we were privileged to be here.   Whitney is Kandae's daughter, Gilbert's granddaughter.
