Wednesday

We stayed last night in price, Utah. We stopped in Salt Lake City to have coffee with Abbie, our niece. It was fun to see her and visit for a little while.

Tuesday

We spent Monday night in Thorton, Colorado With our good friends Fred and Marge Hoppe.  Don and Fred became friends at CSU In 1958.  We have such a good time  When we are with them.  Now we are on the road Headed home going through Salt Lake city.

Monday

We stopped by Flagler To see my cousins.  Marie, Frances, Kay and Dave And his wife Pat.  We had a really good visit And Marie served us delicious Coffee cake.

We have told Gilbert and Kay and Terry goodbye And are on our way home.

Sunday night

Last night we went to church in Lamar With Ronnie and Lyn,  The pastor said" The Jesus you know Will determine what kind of Christian life you live."  I like that.

Sunday afternoon


 It was like stepping back into time for me to see the home where I was raised.
We went by the ranch where I was raised as a kid South of Brandon.  Terry and Janet own the ranch now.  The tornado of 2012  Destroyed part of the house , so they have remodeled and built on.  They graciously Showed us their home.

Friday morning

 We went by to see Waylen and Darlene yesterday afternoon.  We had a good visit with Them and Michelle their daughter and husband Randy, Josiah and Malachi came.  The boys are 16 and 12.  We left Kansas City, Missouri and drove to Junction city, Kansas and spent the night.  Making a lot of memories as we go along on this trip.

We just left my cousin Glenda and Jim in St. Roberts, Missouri.  We are going to Richland to say goodbye to my aunt Gladys, and then we will go to Kansas City to see our brother Waylen and Darlene.

We just met a friend, Jerry and his wife Katee, Jerry was a little boy when we went to Nampa Friends Church in 1970.  Making more memories.

Rock chip

I forgot to say that on Monday, we got the biggest rock chip we have ever had in a window.  It doesn't block our view of driving, so we can have it fixed when we get home.

Wednesday

What a fun time we are having making memories with both sides of our families. Last night we spent in Agusta, Kansas with my cousins Donna and Larry, Francie and Steve,  DONNA and Francie are Zortman girls, they are first cousins to my mother.  I cannot believe how much Donna looks like my mother.

We have told Melynda goodbye and are on our way to Wichita.  She has matured so much in the past year, that it was not near as hard to tell her goodbye this year.

Monday night

We are at Barclay College in Haviland Kansas. It is a Friends college where Melynda our granddaughter, is in her second year.  It is fun to see how she is growing up and maturing.  We took her and Bethany to a Mexican place for dinner, I think they really enjoyed it.  At 9:30 PM we are going to watch her play flag football, that is past my bedtime so I hope I can stay a wake. ;)

We left Johnson and Had lunch in Meade with Uncle PD, Konda and Fred.   Making more family memories.  Uncle PD is 96 years young.

We have had a wonderful three days with our family in eastern Colorado.  We took in the Kiowa County fair, Don got to do some work in the field bailing. We have had a lot of fun with a lot of family.  Now, we are headed to Johnson, Kansas to see good family friends Darrell and Marylin.

Kay and I have had a really good time today while the guys went to Kansas to the sale.  We went to La Junta and had lunch with Micah, who is Kay's Grandsons wife.  We came back by the John Martin Reservoir Which is at Hasty, CO.

Kiowa County fair

We are in eastern Colorado, having a really good time visiting family.  Don and his brother Gilbert, went to the field last night to bail feed.  Don is having a great time doing ranch and farm stuff.  Today they are going to Kansas to the sale, where brother, Ronnie is selling cattle.  My, we have a wonderful family. God is good.

From Barclay College in Haviland we went to Augusta & stayed with my cousins Donna & Larry Markley, we had a good visit with them & yesterday morning we went to Wichita to see Don's brother, Waylen & Darlene.  We had a good visit with them & went back to Donna's & spent the night.  Donna asked her sister, Francie & Steve over for dinner, we also got to see some of their children.  Great Times!!
Today we left Donna's &went to Salina & saw my cousins, Van & Mary, good to visit with them then to Mankato, KS to see Don's Aunt Ella, we went on to Burr Oak & saw Don's cousin, Glen, his wife, Patsy was at Friends Missionary Meeting.  We made it to Ogallala, NE & are calling it a day.
We have seen a lot of family & friends on this trip, we had a great nephew born last night so the Brown family continues to grow.  God IS SO good!!

Donald and his Aunt Ella Page.  She is the last remaining of this generation of Pages.  She was married to Mother's brother James. She is 89 and as witty and fun to be around as ever.
