Darrel & Marylin took us to the SR Citizens in Johnson for a wonderful lunch & we got to see Melvin & Mona, daddy worked for his Dad when I was a little girl. We told our goodbyes & came to Meade to see my Uncle PD, Konda & Fred. The picture of the coyotes are what Uncle PD trapped a few years back. He is 98!!
Today just as we were all packed up & ready to leave Gilbert's, the bike wouldn't start, long story short, Don & Gilbert went to Lamar to get a new battery. I went to Tribune, KS to visit a friend I have had since a little girl when we lived in Lamar. When I got back the bike was fixed & we came to Johnson, KS to visit friends, Darrel & Marylin. Marylin & my mother were friends before we were born & we have carried on that friendship.
I must say that visiting Gilbert was sure hard & different for me with Kay gone 😢.
This is our last day at Gilbert's & visiting family. This morning I saw how they irrigate, it was interesting. The stick that I'm holding has a knife on it & Gilbert sticks a hole in the plastic tube so the water can go down the row.
I got a haircut after Aunt Lyn & I had a really good Mexican lunch. God is good!!
Today I had a wonderful day with my best girl friend 4th-12th grade, Rachel Richenburg. We drove around & ended up in Eads.
One of the pictures is of the Brown home place where the home burned to the ground years ago. To end the day we went to brother Louis & Lauretta's for a good dinner. Their youngest son Kevin & family joined us.
We went to church with Ronnie & Lyn in Lamar. It was really a good service, thank you Pastor Mike. Then Terry & Lana took us to dinner & that was fun to spend time with them. Terry & Mahlon are the same age. We have such a good family. God is SO good.
This has been a most wonderful day, MY, we have a good family. Pam & Jerry had us in for B&G, then we went by the cemetery. That was hard!! I went to Lamar & had coffee with Aunt Lyn then we had pizza here for probably 17 of us. Brothers, Gilbert, Louis & Lauretta, Ronnie & Lyn, All of Gilbert's kids, Rod, Pam, Jerry, Kandae, Dave, Terry, Lana, Jimmy, Whitney & Jared & us, I think that was all of us. 😍.
We are two, in-love, down-to-earth, people who fell in love over 55 years ago! We have covered many miles from the back of our Honda Golding; including our dream trip to Alaska! Our next big adventure will be East! Here is our journey. Don's the preacher and Alfreda is his biker babe!

I highlighted several Quaker women last year and for
#InternationalWomensDay I decided to put them all in one spot to make it
